A IGREJA COMO MISTÉRIO: PERSPECTIVAS ECUMÊNICAS DAS NOTAE ECCLESIAE

Resumo

Resumo: Com base no conceito eclesiológico de mistério (mysterium), extraído do primeiro
capítulo da Contituição Dogmática Lumen Gentium, desenvolveremos neste artigo a crítica
sobre a complexa natureza da Igreja enquanto intimamente relacionada à plenitude do Mistério
de Cristo. Ressaltaremos assim a realidade dialética – histórico-escatológica – presente
na Igreja, tendo em vista a tensão, por exemplo, constatável nas notas Una, Santa, Católica
e Apostólica, que por um lado são sinais da concretude da Igreja, e por outro, mostram-se
ainda como devir escatológico. Neste sentido, discorremos em perspectiva ecumênica
sobre as notae ecclesiae que são sinais da Igreja de Cristo. Consequentemente, falaremos
sobre o mistério da comunhão trinitária como referencial de Unidade e a Santidade
enquanto participação de todos os batizados no único Corpo de Cristo. Desenvolve-se, em
seguida, a reflexão sobre a Catolicidade que se exprime como plenitude da graça na Igreja
e a Apostolicidade qual decorrência da herança da fé apostólica e a atual missão de cada
cristão. Em perfeita sintonia com o decreto Unitatis Redintegratio, afirma o Papa Francisco,
“o ecumenismo é um bem para família humana”, logo, conclui-se que tal esforço de buscar
meios que aproximam e promovem o encontro entre cristãos favorece a unidade almejada
pelo próprio Senhor (cf. Jo 17,21). Nesta busca a Igreja realiza-se como sinal salvífico que
começa na história, sinalizando o Mistério de Cristo.

Abstract: Departing from the ecclesiological concept of mystery (mysterium), as we find it
in the first chapter of the Dogmatic Constitution Lumen Gentium, the paper develops a critic
about the complex nature of the Church while intimately related to the fullness of the Mystery
of Christ. The author stresses the dialectic reality – historic-eschatological – present in the
Church, conscious of the tension, for instance, verifiable in the notes One, Holy, Catholic and
Apostolic, which from one side are signals of the concreteness of the Church and, from the
other side, are shown as an eschatological future. In this sense, the Notae Ecclesiae, which
are signs of the Church of Christ, are studied in an ecumenical perspective. Accordingly,
the mystery of the trinitarian communion is spoken of as a referent of Unity and Sanctity
as the participation of all of the baptized in the only Body of Christ. Then is developed the
reflection about Catholicity, which is expressed as the fullness of grace in the Church, and
about Apostolicity, as resulting from the heritage of the apostolic faith and the present mission
of every Christian. In perfect syntony with the decree Unitatis Redintegratio, pope Francis
asserts: “Ecumenism is a good for the human family”. Consequently, such an effort to look
for means that approach and promote the encounter among Christian people favors the
unity desired by the Lord himself (John 17,21). In this quest, the Church becomes really the
saving sign that begins in history, signalizing the Mystery of Christ.
