Ética e episteme: contribuição das religiões para a ecologia

Resumo

Resumo: O autor propõe a Ética e a Epistemologia como áreas de contribuição
das religiões para a ecologia. De fato, as linhas-mestras da ciência ecológica
estão em plena elaboração, incluindo dados das diferentes Ciências Humanas
e Naturais. Neste sentido, as religiões desenvolveram perspectivas cosmológicas
e morais para compreender a condição humana e nortear nossa relação
com a Terra, originando uma ética de perfil eco-religioso. Há quatro princípios
de compreensão da Natureza em que religiões e ecologia podem cooperar:
inteligibilidade, hermenêutica, organicidade e coesão

Abstract: The author presents ethics and epistemology in terms of fields which
offer contributions to ecology elaborated by religions. In fact, the major themes
of the study of ecology are still being worked out together with data drawn from
different human and natural sciences. In this context, the wide spectrum of religions
developed cosmological and moral viewpoints for a deeper understanding
of human conditions and delineate our relationship with the Earth, contributing
thus with special insights into an ethical profile of ecology. Four principles are
involved in the understanding of nature drawing from religions and ecology which
may enter into mutual co-operation: intelligibility, hermeneutics, relationship,
and cohesion.
