A propósito do Ano Sacerdotal

Resumo: O Ano Sacerdotal passou, mas seus objetivos continuam. É isso o
que o presente artigo quer mostrar, formulando sugestões e fazendo questionamentos.
O autor começa por lembrar os objetivos do “Ano”, bem como seus
“destinatários privilegiados”. Apresenta uma fundamentação fenomenológica do
específico do sacerdócio presbiteral e trata, a seguir, da importância da missão
sacerdotal. Examina, ainda, a identidade do Presbítero no Documento de Aparecida,
e desenvolve as características da sua espiritualidade. Na conclusão,
o autor reúne uma série de sugestões e desafios práticos.

Abstract: The year dedicated to the priesthood has already passed but its
objectives are still continuing today. This is the aim currently developed in the
article, offering suggestions and raising questions. The author begins by calling
to mind the objectives of the “Year” and the “privileged addressees”. It presents
a phenomenological foundation of the specific characteristics of the priestly
ministry and deals with important mission of the priesthood. It also investigates
the identity of the priest according to the “Document of Aparecida”, and develops
the characteristic aspects of its spirituality. In the conclusion the author gathers
a large number of further suggestions and practical challenges as the aftermath
of Aparecida still lingers on.
