A Mística do Diaconato Permanente

Resumo

Resumo: Após uma Introdução sobre as origens do Diaconato, o autor apresenta
o testemunho de Inácio de Antioquia, no começo do século II, e a seguir
explica de que modo o Diácono é “ordenado para o serviço”, especialmente
em relação aos pobres. Mostra em que consiste o ministério diaconal, e qual a
sua espiritualidade e sua mística: ele devolve à comunidade a visibilidade e o
testemunho do Cristo-Servo. Por último, enfoca a ascese do serviço diaconal,
ascese que se caracteriza pela abnegação, doação e humildade. Na conclusão,
apresenta com entusiasmo a missão do Diácono Permanente hoje, em nossas
comunidades.

Abstract: Following the Introduction concerning the origins of the Diaconate, the
author cites the testimonial of Ignatius of Antioch, at the beginning of the II century.
In its sequel follows an explanation of the pattern imposed on the deacon being
ordained for the ministry, especially in his service to the poor. Further, it gives an
account of the nature of the ministry of the deacon and points out his spirituality
and source of inspiration. Basically he renders to the faith community the visibility
and witness of Christ, the Servant of God. Lastly, special attention is given to the
self-discipline of the ministry of the deacon consisting in hardship, self-donation,
and humility. In the concluding section appears in shining light with enthusiasm
the mission of the Permanent Diaconate engaged in our communities.
