A Espiritualidade do Presbítero

Resumo

Resumo: No Ano Sacerdotal, é importante refletir sobre a espiritualidade presbiteral,
sua relação com a identidade e o ministério do presbítero, com a Eucarisita,
com a Palavra de Deus, com a comunidade eclesial e com o mundo. Isso
implica em cuidado de si e da comunidade, como orienta Paulo em At 20,28. O
presbítero é também ele membro do povo de Deus, e para bem dedicar-se ao
povo precisa cuidar também de si mesmo. Assim, sua espiritualidade se caracteriza
pela inserção na comunidade e no mundo e pela relação que supera toda
divisão entre clero e leigo, formando a Igreja comunhão. A Santíssima Trindade é
modelo dessa comunhão, fonte da espiritualidade presbiteral e da vida da Igreja.
Para isso, é fundamental que o presbítero não só esclareça conceitualmente
o específico de sua espiritualidade, mas que encontre momentos de profundo
silêncio para a interiorização dos elementos que a configuram.

Abstract: On the occasion of the Year dedicated to the priesthood it is important
to give attention to the spirituality of the priests, its relationship with the identity
and ministry of the priesthood in connection with the Eucharist, the Word of
God, the ecclesial dimension of the faith community and its concern for the
world at large. This implies personal growth and the task of fulfilling his ministry
in the community, as Saint Paul reminds us (At 20,28). Moreover, the presbyter
is likewise a member of the people of God and thus he has to discharge his
duties. His spirituality concerns both his belonging to the faith community and
his relationship with the peoples of earthly society. His belonging to the Church
reminds him to communicate the life Christ to those who believe: clergy and
laymen. The source and model of this sharing of spiritual life is the Holy Trinity
enriching both the priest and the members of the Church providing divine graces
which are to be internalized by prayer and mutual dialogue.
