Ano Sacerdotal e a Formação dos Seminaristas

Resumo

Resumo: A 47ª Assembléia Geral da CNBB, realizada em maio de 2008, aprovou
as novas Diretrizes da Formação Presbiteral da Igreja no Brasil. O que se busca
é a unidade no processo de formação dos presbíteros em nosso país, desde a
formação inicial até a formação permanente. As Diretrizes da Formação constatam
os desafios atuais para a formação presbiteral, de ordem social, econômica,
cultural, religiosa; os desafios internos ao processo formativo, como a exigência
de melhor qualificação dos formadores; analisa o processo de formação à luz do
Concílio Vaticano II e dos documentos da Igreja no Brasil e na América Latina.
Esse documento é uma feliz oportunidade para refletir sobre o ser e o agir do
presbítero no contexto das celebrações do Ano Sacerdotal.

Abstract: The 47th General Assembly of the CNBB, held in May of 2008, gave
its approval of the new Directory for Priestly Formation in the Church in Brazil.
The aim to be achieved is the unity in all stages of formation of priests in our
country in its initial stages up to a permanent formation further on. The Directory
of Formation takes into account the challenges of today for continuous growth
of the priesthood on a social economic, cultural, and religious level, as well as
the quest for course offerings intended to provide good qualifications for those
entrusted with priestly formation. The process of formation is being analyzed in
the light of the Council of Vatican II and the documents of the Church in Brazil
and Latin America. It is to be noted that these documents offer a fruitful opportunity
for reflection upon the identity and an energetic life of the priests during
the commemoration of the year dedicated to the priesthood.
