Campanha da Fraternidade 2007: a Amazônia como profecia

Resumo

Resumo: Fraternidade e Amazônia, tema da Campanha da Fraternidade de
2007, é uma rica oportunidade para repensar o Brasil a partir dos seus seis
“berços de vida”, os biomas, retomando a história longa da terra, da biodiversidade
e da vida humana, aprofundando a crítica dos projetos colonialistas,
ainda dominantes, e reforçando os projetos de convivência sustentável com
cada bioma. A retomada da teologia da Criação, e da Recriação, em Jesus
Cristo, iluminam a realidade e ajudam a firmar práticas de solidariedade em
favor da Nova Amazônia desejada por seus povos e estimula a “amazonizar”
os demais biomas.

Abstract: The themes of this year’s Campaign of the Church in Brazil focuse on
fraternity extending to the people of the Amazon region. It will be an enriching
experience for all concerned by taking into account the six “cradles of life” on
this planet (rivers, forests, desert, pastures, air, water) dealing with the history
of living beings on earth, the problem of biodiversity, and human life. Special
attention is to be given to a discernment of colonial projects still in vogue and the
attempt to reinforce projects of a sustainable way of life in conjunction with each
environmental surrounding. New insights will arise from the theology of creation
and redemption by Jesus Christ which will give rise to initiatives of solidarity
towards the people living in the Amazon region.
